First and foremost – Ensure all your details with your insurer are up to date. Make sure you read through the most recent and updated policy wording and documents received.
Follow the insurers requirements when taking out your policy, for example, if a tracking device is required, ensure it has been installed and tested at all times. If your vehicle is an old make , take you vehicle in for an inspection and make sure both documents are sent through to your insurer.
The information given to your insurer MUST be TRUE & Correct, full disclosure on who drives your vehicle and where it parks is very important, claims can be easily rejected on this information being incorrect.
Your premiums play BIG part in a claiming process as well, NO PREMIUM RECEIVED NO COVER! check with your insurer regularly if your premiums are up to date.
